Buddleoside, also known as locust glycoside, is a natural flavonoid glycoside that is widely present in plants such as wild chrysanthemum and dense flower of the Asteraceae family. Modern pharmacological studies have shown that mongolin has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, can inhibit the expression of inflammatory mediators such as interleukin (IL), and has inhibitory activity against aldose reductase (AR) of rat lens.
