Oryzanol is present in rice oil (millet bran oil) and is a mixture of ferulic acid esters with triterpenoid (steroid) alcohols as the main component. It mainly acts on the autonomic nervous system and endocrine center in the diencephalon, can adjust the autonomic nerve function, reduce endocrine imbalance, and improve symptoms of mental and neurological disorders. It also has various physiological functions such as lowering blood lipids, reducing liver lipid levels, preventing lipid oxidation, and antioxidation. Additionally, it has the effect of resisting arrhythmia, which can reduce the excitability of the myocardium by regulating the function of the autonomic nerve.
