This product is slightly soluble in water or ethanol.The effect and antibacterial spectrum are the same as those of tetracycline, but the adverse reactions are the largest among tetracyclines (chlortetracycline>oxytetracycline>tetracycline).

Application

Chlortetracycline HCL is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial drug. It is active in the inhibition and treatment of white dysentery, enteritis, pheumonia, typhoid, paratyphoid, cholera etc. in poultry and livestock.The antibacterial spectrum of this product is similar to that of tetracycline and is effective for Gram's pubic cocci, especially Staphylococcus and pneumococcus. Because of the large side effects, only external use is currently used for the treatment of conjunctivitis and trachoma.
