Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine or aneurin, is a water-soluble vitamin synthesized by fungi, microorganisms, and plants, while animals and humans must acquire it through dietary sources. It is predominantly found in the husks and germ layers of seeds, such as rice bran and wheat bran, where it is abundantly present, and is also highly concentrated in yeast. Thiamine commonly exists in the form of its hydrochloride salt.
